Web Design Tips for SEO
Web design tips are offered by many resources on the Internet.
The only web design tips that I would like to offer, however,
are those that impact the SEO of your website. For instance,
having Adobe Flash page as
the homepage may be cool web design, but in SEO terms this
design will never be found by visitors.
So, one of the web design tips offered here will be to use
Flash banners, graphics and other elements all you want but
also include some text on the page for visitors and search
engines. Slow loading pages due to large
graphics and javascript
is also bad web design.
Pages that are slow loading will have a high bounce rate
meaning visitors will hit the Back button on the browser faster
than you can say, "See ya later, alligator" or some
other such derogatory phrase.
Visitors are inherently impatient, so give them what they
want quickly and design your website to be fast loading. Some
other web design tips including staying away from frames,
pop up windows and other
devices that annoy and frustrate visitors.
Frames will usually frustrate search engine more than visitors,
so learn to do CSS web design or other methods that avoid
giving search engines pages that are hard to read. Pop up
windows just plain annoy visitors. True they convert more
than other types of advertising, but at the expense of most
of your traffic.
The most important web design tips simply mean creating a
website that is attractive, fast loading, easy to navigate
and one that establishes trust and does not frustrate or annoy
visitors. If you build it, then they will come to use a line
from "Field of Dreams". So, build it and see if
this is true for you.
