Email advertising offers some advantages that SEO cannot.
Many times when someone thinks of email advertising, the first
thing that jumps to mind is spam and how to keep this type
of advertising away from one's inbox and either cut it off
at the pass or at least route it to one's junk folder.
But, email advertising done correctly offers consumers who
want it a service from providers. The most sought after form
of email advertising is called "opt-in" since people
have to request or opt-in to receive the emails in the first
place.
This also means that recipients can opt out at any time they
wish. This is appealing to consumers who don't want to sacrifice
their privacy or right to choose from email marketers.
When some does opt-in to receiving email from a publication
or advertiser they are really motivated to learn more about
whatever the sender is offering. This kind of consumer enthusiasm
can mean large conversions into buyers for this type of marketing
plan.
While SEO is a wonderful thing and very effective in and
of itself, email marketing is a form of complementary advertising
that online business owners should also entertain.
